In his fifth year, Crabbe eagerly joined [[Dolores Umbridge]]'s [[Inquisitorial Squad]], a position that gave him official power to torment other students. The cursed fire consumed the room, killing Crabbe and destroying the [[Horcrux]] hidden there, [[Ravenclaw's Diadem]].
