(video game) =====Description and Nature===== Foundables are the central element of the narrative in //Harry Potter: Wizards Unite//. They are magical entities that have appeared erratically throughout the [[Muggle]] world, creating a global crisis that threatens to expose magic to the non-magical population. (video game) When a Foundable appears, it creates a magical signature known as a **Trace**. These Traces are visible on a magical map to members of the [[Statute of Secrecy Task Force]]. Upon approaching a Trace, a witch or wizard will find the Foundable, which is almost always afflicted by a **Confoundable**—a form of chaotic [[magic & spells|magic]] that traps, guards, or otherwise endangers the Foundable. To rescue a Foundable, one must cast the appropriate [[magic & spells|spell]] to overcome the Confoundable. (video game) =====Role in the Story===== The appearance of Foundables is a direct result of **[[The Calamity]]**, a magical catastrophe of unknown origin that serves as the central mystery of the //Harry Potter: Wizards Unite// storyline. In response, the [[Ministry of Magic]] and the International Confederation of Wizards sanctioned the formation of the [[Statute of Secrecy Task Force]], a volunteer organization tasked with containing the situation.
