Angelina Johnson
Introduction
Angelina Johnson was a witch and a Gryffindor student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from 1989 to 1996. She was a highly skilled Quidditch player, serving as a Chaser for the Gryffindor Quidditch team for at least five years and becoming its Captain in her final year. A brave and loyal member of Dumbledore's Army, she later returned to fight against Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters in the Battle of Hogwarts. Following the Second Wizarding War, she married George Weasley.
Biography
Hogwarts Years
Angelina joined the Gryffindor Quidditch team as a Chaser by at least her third year, playing alongside fellow Chasers Alicia Spinnet and Katie Bell. She was already an established and formidable player by the time Harry Potter joined the team in 1991. For the next several years, she was an integral part of the team under the captaincy of Oliver Wood, helping Gryffindor win the Quidditch Cup. In her sixth year, during the 1994-1995 school year, Angelina put her name into the Goblet of Fire in an attempt to become the Hogwarts Champion in the Triwizard Tournament, though she was ultimately not chosen. That same year, she attended the Yule Ball with Fred Weasley. In her seventh and final year, Angelina was made Captain of the Gryffindor Quidditch team. She took her responsibilities very seriously, showing considerable stress while trying to replace Oliver Wood's leadership and rebuild the team. Her task was made exceptionally difficult by the interference of Dolores Umbridge, the High Inquisitor, who banned Harry Potter, Fred Weasley, and George Weasley from playing. Despite these setbacks, Angelina successfully rebuilt the team with new players and led them to victory, winning the Quidditch Cup. During this year, she also joined Dumbledore's Army, an organization founded by Harry Potter to teach practical Defence Against the Dark Arts. She participated in the secret meetings in the Room of Requirement, honing her duelling skills.
Second Wizarding War
After graduating from Hogwarts, Angelina remained loyal to the cause against Lord Voldemort. In May of 1998, she answered the call via the enchanted Galleons of the D.A. and returned to the school to fight in the Battle of Hogwarts. During a pause in the fighting, she was seen in the Great Hall, devastated and weeping over the body of Fred Weasley.
Later Life
Sometime after the Second Wizarding War, Angelina reconnected with George Weasley, and they eventually married. Together, they had two children: a son named Fred Weasley II, in honour of his late uncle, and a daughter named Roxanne Weasley. (J.K. Rowling interview).
Physical Appearance and Personality
Angelina is described as a tall black girl with long, black braided hair. As a leader and athlete, she was determined, outspoken, and fiercely competitive. She could be demanding and short-tempered when under pressure, as seen during her time as Quidditch Captain, but she was also a fair leader who was passionate about her team's success. Her decision to join Dumbledore's Army and return for the Battle of Hogwarts demonstrates her immense bravery and loyalty to her friends and the fight against evil.
