Madam Chiyo Kogawa is the Flying professor at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry during the 1890-1891 school year. A stern and disciplined instructor originally from Japan, she teaches first-year students the fundamentals of handling a Broomstick. She later accepted an invitation from Headmaster Phineas Nigellus Black to teach Flying at Hogwarts, drawn by the school's more stringent rules.
