Timothy Spall

Timothy Spall is a highly acclaimed English actor known for his versatile character roles in film and television. Within the Wizarding World, he is best known for his portrayal of the treacherous and cowardly wizard Peter Pettigrew, also known as Wormtail, in the Harry Potter film series. Spall's performance captured the character's pathetic servility and rat-like mannerisms, bringing a key antagonist from the novels to life on screen.

Timothy Spall first appeared as Peter Pettigrew in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. His character is revealed in the Shrieking Shack after being forced from his Animagus form as the rat, Scabbers. Spall depicted Pettigrew as a desperate, groveling man, begging for his life from his old friends Remus Lupin and Sirius Black. In Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Spall's role was pivotal. He is shown caring for the weakened Lord Voldemort before performing the dark magic required for the Dark Lord's rebirth in the Little Hangleton graveyard. This act included sacrificing his own right hand, which Voldemort later replaced with a powerful, enchanted silver one. Spall had a brief, non-speaking appearance in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, where he is seen acting as a servant to Severus Snape at Spinner's End. His final appearance was in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1. He is present at Malfoy Manor during a meeting of the Death Eaters and later confronts Harry Potter and Ron Weasley in the cellar.
